Chehalis Middle School Gets New Bleachers — Reader-Submitted Photo
These new bleachers at Chehalis Middle School were the result of fundraising by the Chehalis Activators, which supports athletics at the Chehalis school. In October, the group spent three days assembling the bleachers, which cost about $20,000. The non-profit organization raises money through several sports events, including the Activators Track Classic, a May scramble golf tournament, the seventh- and eighth-grade football games against Centralia (when the games are played in Chehalis) and a bowling tournament. Currently, the group has about 30 members. President is JT Eklund. More information on the group may be obtained by calling Eklund at 748-0965.
