Centralia College President Robert Mohrbacher, as well as the founders of Pacific Mobile Structures, were named recently as the recipients of the Chehalis School Board’s 2020 and 2021 Award of Excellence.
According to a news release, the recipients were honored at W.F. West High School’s commencement last weekend.
The 2020 winners were the founders and owners of Pacific Mobile Structures, specifically Dick Haakenson, Jean Sheridan, Garth Haakenson and Gretchen Moore.
“We are so very grateful for your generous and effective support of Chehalis young people,” said board member Colleen State. “Your family has a heart for giving and service. Your support for community projects, including the Gail and Carolyn Shaw Aquatics Center, the renovation of Penny Playground, your work with Boys and Girls Club all benefit Chehalis students.”
Board member Larry Petersen presented the 2021 award to Mohrbacher and his staff, who diligently assisted the school district in preparing W.F. West High School graduates for college alongside counseling staff.
“For his leadership and the work of the Centralia College team, who have given so much time and effort to enhance the future for our graduating Bearcats,” Petersen said.
