Chehalis Seeks Applicants for Planning Commission

The city of Chehalis currently has a vacancy on its planning commission.

Appointments to the commission are made by the mayor, subject to confirmation by the city council and are generally for four-year terms. Members serve without compensation.

According to a press release, the primary duties of the commission are to review all plats or plans of subdivisions of land within the city or proposed additions, as well as the dedications of alleys and streets. The commission also makes recommendations to the city council.



The commission also reviews the city’s comprehensive plan and prepares amendments for the council’s approval.
