Bigfoot — Real or Hoax?

April 15 at McFiler’s Chehalis Theater, 558 N. Market Blvd., Chehalis; 1 p.m.

Vince Ynzunza and Tyler Bounds will present on the Bigfoot hoax by Rant Mullens in the 1920s near Mt. St. Helens and his subsequent rivalry with hoaxer Ray Wallace. A popup museum display and photo opportunities will be on site during this event. All proceeds benefit the Lewis County Historical Museum. Tickets are $20.

 

Wait Until Dark by Frederick Knott

April 15 at the Roxy Theater, 233 W. Main Ave., Morton; 2 p.m.

Tickets are $15. 

 

Dinner and Bingo

April 15 at the Napavine Trinity Rebekah’s Lodge, 111 W. Washington St., Napavine; 4 p.m.

The cost to attend is $25 and includes a ham and scalloped potatoes dinner with a drink and desert. Attendees will also be given two bingo card packs. There will be raffles and 50/50 drawings. Dinner is at 4 p.m. and bingo begins at 6 p.m.

 

Keiper’s Cards Trade Night

April 15 at Keiper’s Cards, 320 N. Tower Ave., Suite 104, Centralia; 4 p.m.

All are welcome to bring their personal card collections to make trades with each other.

 

Gala For The Arts

April 15 at Corbet Theatre, 600 Centralia College Blvd., Centralia; 6 p.m.

The reception will begin at 6 p.m. and will include festive drinks and hors d’oeuvres. The performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. All profits will be donated to the Corbet Theatre enhancements fund. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors, students, children and military members. Tickets can be purchased at www.swwdance.org or at the Southwest Washington Dance Center’s dance studio. Five Days in the Enchantment Lakes Area

April 15 at the White Pass Country Museum, 12990 U.S. Highway 12, Packwood; 7 p.m.

DJ THAT GUY Free Music Event

April 15 at The Juice Box, 216 S. Tower Ave., Centralia; 7 p.m.

This event is a free night of music that is open to the public and welcomes all ages. There will be new menu food options. 

 

Spring Vendor Blender by Gemini Events

April 15 and 16 at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds, 1909 Gold St., Centralia; 10 a.m.

Visitors can shop from over 100 vendors in the Grandstand Building of the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds. There will be food trucks and free entertainment for children from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days. The event will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 15 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 16. Admission is $2 per person and parking is free. Children 17 and under can enter for free. 

 

Smoke and Mirrors

April 16 and 23 at The Juice Box, 216 S. Tower Ave., Centralia; 4 p.m.

This event includes a three course dinner and murder mystery theater. The dinner is catered by Occasions DB. The murder mystery is written and directed by Twin Cities Rotary members. Cost of attendance is $40 per person. 



 

The Silent Comedy

April 19 at The Juice Box, 216 S. Tower Ave., Centralia; 7 to 10 p.m.

The Silent Comedy is a rock and roll band. Joshua and Jeremiah Zimmerman are brothers who grew the band. 

 

Business After Hours

April 20 at the Sticklin Funeral Chapel, 1437 S. Gold St., Centralia; 5 to 7 p.m.

Attendees can network, take a tour of Sticklin’s facility, enjoy refreshments and participate in a raffle. Sticklin has been providing funeral services since 1892. For more information, visit www.chamberway.com. 

 

Earth Day Celebration

April 21 at the Nature Nurture Farmacy, 176 NE School St., Chehalis; 1 to 5 p.m.

This is a free, kid-friendly event. There will be live music, a plant sale, art, baked goods, garden demos, mini goats, free seeds, a raffle and more. 

 

Peter Pan-Based Ballet

April 21, 22 and 23 at the Centralia High School Performing Arts Center; 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday

The Centralia Ballet Academy will premier a brand new ballet based on the classic story of Peter Pan. All tickets cost $10 and can be purchased at the door or at centraliaballet.com. For questions, call or text 360-623-9010.

 

The Shed Spring Market

April 20, 21 and 22 at The Shed, 516 Spooner Road, Chehalis

The event’s hours are 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22. There will be antiques, primitives, wreaths, signs, candles, and garden and spring-themed home decor. Many items will be handmade. 

 

Chipping Day

April 22 at McMurphy Park, Annonen Road, Vader; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

People will be able to drop off their branches and brush. Vader residents will be able to have their brush taken from their homes to the chipping site on April 18 and April 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. For more information, call Mo at 360-218-4257 or city hall at 360-295-3222.

 

Work Party 

April 22 at the Discovery Trail, 1011 Goodrich Road, Centralia; 10 a.m.

Attendees can help preserve and protect this beautiful public space and reduce the spread of noxious weeds. Attendees are asked to bring gloves, gardening work clothes, a hand trowel or spade, a reusable water bottles and a positive attitude. Snacks and drinks are provided. Potato Bake 

April 22 at the Adna Grange, 123 Dieckman Road, Adna; 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The cost to attend is $7 and includes toppings, a garden salad, a beverage and dessert.
