The Silent Comedy

The Silent Comedy is a rock-and-roll band. Joshua and Jeremiah Zimmerman are brothers who grew the band.
Defensive Tactics Class
April 19 at Toledo Presbyterian Church, 312 Augustus St., Toledo; 6 to 8 p.m.
This class is one of eight put on by Toledo’s Community Crime Deterrent Program and is for women and girls. The class is taught by Tiffany Schumann and Bill Garrison. Schumann served nine years in the Army, three of which she spent as a combatives instructor, and trained with several elite force groups. Garrison has been a martial arts teacher since 16 and holds a brown belt in jiu-jitsu and a black belt in aikido. Both live in Toledo. The event is free. Earth Day Celebration
April 21 at the Nature Nurture Farmacy, 176 NE School St., Chehalis; 1 to 5 p.m.
This is a free, kid-friendly event. There will be live music, a plant sale, art, baked goods, garden demos, mini goats, free seeds, a raffle and more.
Peter Pan
April 21, 22 and 23 at the Centralia High School Performing Arts Center; 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday

The Shed Spring Market
April 20, 21 and 22 at The Shed, 516 Spooner Road, Chehalis
The event’s hours are 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22. There will be antiques, primitives, wreaths, signs, candles and garden and spring-themed home decor. Many items will be handmade.
Wait Until Dark By Frederick Knott

Chipping Day
April 22 at McMurphy Park, Annonen Road, Vader; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Work Party

Attendees can help preserve and protect this beautiful public space and reduce the spread of noxious weeds. Attendees are asked to bring gloves, gardening work clothes, a hand trowel or spade, a reusable water bottles and a positive attitude. Snacks and drinks are provided. This event includes a three-course dinner and murder mystery theater. The dinner is catered by Occasions DB. The murder mystery is written and directed by Twin Cities Rotary members. Cost of attendance is $40 per person.

Deer Resistant Gardening
