Complete Hearing and Balance Ribbon Cutting

Feb. 23 at Complete Hearing and Balance, 1817 S. Market Blvd., Chehalis; 12:30 p.m.

Owner Alison Vega will be on hand along with other providers and staff. There will be refreshments and visitors can tour the facility. Visitors can bring their hearing aids for a free cleaning during the event. The public is invited to this event. 

Reducing Food Waste

Feb. 23 at the Nature Farm Farmacy, 176 NE School St., Chehalis; 5:30 p.m.

This class will help attendees learn strategies to properly store food and other tools to eliminate food waste. Taught by dietitian Lauren Johnson, this class will cover various strategies for food waste reduction. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 360-996-4387.

Herbs for Hormones

Feb. 24 at the Nature Farm Farmacy, 176 NE School St., Chehalis; 4 p.m.

Taught by Dr. Jennifer Green, ND, this course will teach attendees about hormones and the menstrual cycle, as well as herbs for common menstrual issues. The course is ideal for women who want to learn more about their hormones with little to no knowledge about herbs. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 360-996-4387.

Free Movie Night

Feb. 24 at Christian Fellowship of Winlock, 630 Cemetery Road, Winlock; 6 p.m.

Free popcorn, red vines, hot cocoa and coffee will be offered at this free showing of “Flywheel.” The movie is about the unexpected pitfalls experienced by a used car dealer as he decides to go honest. For more information, call 360-785-4280.  

Potato Bake at Adna Grange

Feb. 25 at the Adna Grange, 123 Dieckman Road, Adna; 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The event costs $7 to attend and includes toppings, a garden salad, a beverage and dessert. 

Chehalis Basin Film Festival

Feb. 25 at the Seventh Street Theatre, 313 Seventh St., Hoquiam; 3 to 5 p.m.

Free film festival that includes Question and Answer panels. Films will highlight salmon, beaver and amphibians as well as local habitat restoration projects. 

Grandparents/Grandchildren Ball

Feb. 25 at the Olequa Senior Center, 119 SW Kerront St., Winlock; 2 to 4 p.m.

This is the first Grandparents/Grandchildren Ball. All ages are welcome and there will be light refreshments, raffle prizes, games, dancing and pictures. Olympia Chamber Orchestra Free Concert

Comedy Night

Seniors Paint Class 

Feb. 27 at the Olequa Senior Center, 119 SW Kerront St., Winlock; 2 to 5 p.m.

This will be a season themed paint class for beginners. All supplies are provided and space is limited. Prepayment for a $10 fee is required. For more information, call 360-785-4325.

Centralia Point Assisted Living and Memory Care Ribbon Cutting

March 2 at Centralia Point Assisted Living and Memory Care, 2010 Cooks Hill Road, Centralia; 2 p.m.

Attendees can tour the newly renovated Assisted Living Community and the new secured Memory Care Unit. Owner Terri Waldroff and Director of Operations Nanette Wilkins will be available to meet. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a raffle drawing. 

Acoustic Music Jam

March 3 at Faith Baptist Church, 436 Coal Creek Road, Chehalis; 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Washington Old Time Fiddlers Association will be hosting an acoustic music jam. The jam is free and open to the public. All ages and abilities are welcome. You do not have to be a member of the Washington Old Time Fiddlers to attend. For more information, call 360-791-5185.

McFiler’s Chehalis Theater Ribbon Cutting

March 3 at McFiler’s Chehalis Theater, 558 N. Market Blvd., Chehalis; 5 p.m. 

The public is invited to the Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony for the McFiler’s Chehalis Theater. Owners Tim Filer, Eddie McNally and Patrick McNally will be present. Complementary popcorn, a special events menu and a drink tasting menu will be available.

March 3 at the Centralia College Transalta Commons, 600 Centralia College Blvd., Centralia; 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Burger and Brew Night Fundraiser

March 4 at Bub’s Pub, 1326 Harrison Ave., Centralia; 4 to 6 p.m.

This event is to raise money for the Centralia High School senior prom and graduation. There will be a $20 burger basket with fries and a beer with $10 going to the fundraiser.
