Gardening for Everyone

April 8 at Centralia College in Washington Hall, 600 Centralia College Blvd., Centralia; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This is a Master Gardeners event. There will be multiple workshops offered during different sessions throughout the day. The first session will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m., the second session from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and the third session from 12:45 to 2:15 p.m. Pre-registration is not required. Winlock Community Club Easter Egg Hunt

April 8 at the Winolequa Park; 10 a.m.

Attendees should come early. 

Free Tax Service

April 8, 9, 10 and 12 at the Mossyrock Grange Hall, 152 Isbell Road, Mossyrock; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 8, 10 and 12; noon to 6 p.m. on April 9

This event offers free volunteer income tax assistance for seniors and those with low incomes. 

Easter Egg Hunt

April 8 at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, 1437 S. Gold St., Centralia; 11 a.m.

The Easter Bunny will arrive at 10:50 a.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring their cameras. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, call 360-736-1388. 

Napavine Funtime Festival’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt

April 8 at the Napavine High School Football Stadium, 404 Fourth Ave. NE, Napavine; 11 a.m.

The Easter egg hunt is for children ages 10 and under. Special prizes will be given for each age group. Attendees should bring their own baskets. For more information, call 360-520-4960.

Spring Night Market at The Juice Box

April 8 at The Juice Box, 216 S. Tower Ave., Centralia; 6 to 10 p.m.

There will be local artists, musicians and community members present. 

Easter Egg Hunt

April 9 at the Centralia United Methodist Church, 506 S. Washington Ave., Centralia; 11 a.m.

The Easter egg hunt will follow the church’s service at 10 a.m. There will be a dedicated space for children with special needs. For more information, email centraliafirstumc@gmail.com or call Pastor Vangie Rand at 360-736-7311.

Free Easter Meal

April 9 at the South Tower Chevron, 520 S. Tower Ave.; 10 a.m.

All are welcome to free, hot meals, which will be distributed in to-go boxes. There is no dining area available at the store. Food will be available until the supply runs out. 

The Lilies of the Field

April 10 at the Church of the Nazarene meeting room, 1119 W. First St., Centralia; noon to 1:30 p.m.

The event is a women’s spring luncheon. Attendees are encouraged to come early for parking and group seating. There will be a presentation by professional speaker and author Lois Williams, of Lacey. Winlock Cemetery District Public Meeting

April 12 at 407 Cowlitz Road, Winlock; 7 p.m.

The public is invited to this meeting. Meetings take place on the second Wednesday of each month. 

Riverside Fire Authority Governance Board

April 12 at the Riverside Golf Course, 1451 Airport Road, Chehalis; 9 a.m.



The meeting will include a workshop and regularly scheduled board business. People who need special accommodations are requested to call Stephanie Slorey, the board secretary, at 360-736-3975 prior to the meeting date posted, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. There will also be a regularly scheduled board meeting at 5 p.m. at the Riverside Fire Authority Headquarters, located at Station 2, 1818 Harrison Ave. in Centralia.

Lewis County Parkinson’s Disease Support Group

April 13 at the Church of the Nazarene, 1119 W. First St., Centralia

This group is for community, conversation and to review developments in therapies for Parkinson’s. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month. For more information, contact Stuart Bailey at 360-280-9194.

Chico’s Outlet Wardrobe Rewards Event

April 13 at Chico’s Outlet, 1312 Lum Road, Centralia; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

While shopping at the sales event, attendees can enter to win a raffle gift basket. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Chamber of Commerce Forum: Lewis County Rural Housing Update

April 13 at O’Blarney’s at the Gibson House, 221 N. Tower Ave., Centralia; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Chamber forum will discuss rural housing. The event will open its doors at 11:30 a.m. with the forum beginning at noon and lasting approximately one hour. The event is open to the public with a $5 beverage and sitting fee. The buffet lunch costs $17. Space is limited. Those who want lunch should arrive early.

April 14 at the Roxy Theater, 233 W. Main Ave., Morton; 7 p.m.

Tickets are $15. 

Easter Egg Hunt

April 15 at the Peace Lutheran Church, 2071 Bishop Road, Chehalis; 10 a.m.

Super Fun Run (Walk and Roll)

April 15 at Fort Borst Park in Centralia; 10 a.m. 

This event is put on by Kiddin’ Around and the Centralia Prevention Coalition and seeks to raise money for Centralia School Libraries. Attendees are asked to dress up as their favorite book character and bring their whole family. The event is free to register for and includes prizes for most money raised. Rose Care and Pruning

April 15 at Providence Place Demonstration Garden, 350 SE Washington Ave., Chehalis; 10 a.m.

A Gala For The Arts

April 15 at Corbet Theatre, 600 Centralia College Blvd., Centralia; 6 p.m.

The reception will begin at 6 p.m. and will include festive drinks and hors d’oeuvres. The performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. All profits will be donated to the Corbet Theatre enhancements fund. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors, students, children and military members. Tickets can be purchased at www.swwdance.org or at the Southwest Washington Dance Center’s dance studio. Spring Vendor Blender by Gemini Events

April 15 and 16 at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds, 1909 Gold St., Centralia; 10 a.m.

Visitors can shop from over 100 vendors in the Grandstand Building of the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds. There will be food trucks and free entertainment for children from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days. The event will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 15 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 16. Admission is $2 per person and parking is free.
