The Turkey Trot

Nov. 25 at Thorbeckes Wellness Center, 91 SW Chehalis Ave., Chehalis; 8 a.m.

Walk, run or trot in this 5K hosted by Althauser Rayan Abbarno, LLP that begins at Chehalis Thorbeckes. Register for $20 at any Thorbeckes location.

The cost for immediate families of any size is $35, and comes with two shirts plus $8 per extra shirt.

 

Drive-Through or Delivery Thanksgiving Dinner

Nov. 25 at Centralia Community Church of God, 3320 Borst Ave., Centralia; 12 to 4 p.m.

Delivery is also available, call 360-669-0743. Free loaf of sweet bread while supplies last.

 

Thanksgiving Meal

Nov. 25 at Gather Church’s walk-up window, 100 S. Rock St., Centralia; 2 to 5 p.m.

Free meal includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, cranberry sauce, rolls and pumpkin pie. To volunteer, call 360-827-0264.

 

Friday Night Bingo

Nov. 26 at the Packwood Community Hall; Open at 6 p.m., first game 6:50 p.m.

Light food will be available for purchase. State indoor COVID restrictions will apply.

Christmas Island Lighting Ceremony

Nov. 27 at Maytown Assembly of God, 2920 Tierney St. SW, Olympia; 6 p.m. 

Christmas Island, a life-size nativity scene, will be lit up during this ceremony and remain free and open to the public from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. every evening following until Christmas. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights there will be goodies and warm drinks available.

 

‘The Shed’ Christmas Market

Dec. 2 through 4 at 516 Spooner Road, Chehalis; Thursday 4 to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wreaths, trees, signs, candles, antiques and farmhouse inspired holiday decor will be sold.

 

Onalaska Volunteer Fire Fighters Association Bazaar

Dec. 3 and 4 at 1733 state Route 508; Onalaska; Friday 12 to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Downtown Centralia Christmas Celebrations

Dec. 3 and 4 on Magnolia Street; Friday 3 to 7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Friday, the Holiday Makers Market will be at the Lewis & Clark Hotel, 117 W. Magnolia St., Centralia. On Saturday, the market runs all day. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and their reindeer from noon to 3 p.m. Hay rides available on Magnolia Street from noon to 4 p.m.

Winlock-Vader Food Bank Drive n’ Drop

Dec. 4 at the corner of Front and Fir streets in Winlock and the Vader Assembly of God Church at 302 Sixth St., Vader; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Drive up and drop off donations.

The highest priority items are personal care products such as shampoo, toothpaste and other toiletries. Monetary donations can also be made. The food bank can purchase food for as low as 10 cents per pound. For more information, call 360-880-7122.

Breakfast With Santa

Dec. 4 at Moose Family Center, 1400 Grand Ave., Centralia; 8 to 11 a.m.

Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, applesauce, juice, coffee and hot chocolate will be served at this fundraiser for Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. Santa will arrive at 8:30 a.m. Suggested donation for adults is $7, children ages 4 through 12, $4. Free for kids under 3. Wreaths for sale by Lewis County Work Opportunities. Bring your own camera.

 

Friends of the Winlock Library Book Sale Fundraiser

Dec. 4 at 300 NE First St., Winlock; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Acoustic Music Jam

Book & Bake Sale

This sale raises funds to help the library. There will be book signings by historian and Chronicle columnist Julie MacDonald and science fiction author Jake Blake from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 

Santa Book Sale

Dec. 4 at the Chehalis Timberland Library; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Come to the library before or after the Santa Parade and browse hundreds of donated books at low prices. All proceeds are used to sponsor library events. Masks required.

 

Winter Market

Dec. 4 at 176 NE School St., Chehalis; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
