Toledo Cheese Days

July 6-9 throughout Toledo

Randle Lavender Festivities

July 7-9 at 136 Falls Road, Randle, Fri day and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Northwest C10s’ South Sound Get Down Car Show

July 8 at the Veterans Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way in Chehalis; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tenino 150th Jubilee 

July 8 at Tenino City Park; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The City of Tenino, the Tenino-Area Chamber of Commerce and the Tenino Depot Museum will host a jubilee celebrating the city’s 150th anniversary on Saturday, July 8. “Tenino was platted in 1873 marking the birth of a town,” organizers stated. “The City of Tenino will celebrate this historic sesquicentennial occasion at the Tenino City Park with an array of fun events and field day activities.” 

 

Tenino Farmers Market 

July 8 in the 200 block of Sussex Avenue in downtown Tenino; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Tenino Farmers Market is open each Saturday through the end of September. 

 

Dakota Hawkins Autograph Signing and Trade Night

July 8 at Keiper’s Cards, 320 N. Tower Ave., suite 104; 4 p.m.

W.F. West High School graduate and Washington State University Pitcher Dakota Hawkins will be at Keiper’s Cards to meet fans, take pictures and sign autographs as he prepares to enter the upcoming MLB draft. Additionally, collectors are invited to bring their prized cards to trade with one another at the store.  

 

Women’s Luncheon

July 10 at Centralia Church of The Nazarene, 1119 W. First St., 12 to 1 p.m. 

Centralia-Chehalis Christian Women’s Connection will sponsor a women’s luncheon with the theme “My Country ‘Tis Of Thee” in the meeting room of Centralia Church of The Nazarene on Monday, July 10. The luncheon costs $15 per person and runs from noon to 1:30 p.m. Attendees are advised to come early for ample parking and group seating. 

Bill Jones of Centralia will share his “military collection of unique art” and retired R.N., nursing instructor, volunteer, writer and teacher Donna Morse of Lacey will be the event’s inspirational speaker, according to organizers. The public is invited to this meeting. Meetings take place on the second Wednesday of each month. 

 

East Lewis County Tansy Ragwort Disposals

July 14, East Lewis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at locations listed below

Tansy must be brought in tied-closed garbage bags to the following locations. Loose tansy will not be accepted. Lewis County Noxious Weed control will strictly adhere to the following schedule:

Randle Fire Station, 9978 U.S. Highway 12, Randle, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.; the Mossyrock Dam Parking lot from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and in Onalaska at Lewis County Fire District 1, station one, 1733 state Route 508 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Seattle-to-Portland Bike Ride

July 15-16, all day

Bikers will come through Lewis County throughout the days on July 15 and 16. Events for travelers will be ongoing at Recreation Park in Chehalis, this year’s official mid-way stop, sponsored by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce. Vietnam Veterans Remembrance Dinner

July 16 at the Veterans Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way in Chehalis; 2 p.m.

 Join veterans and museum staff for a remembrance dinner held in honor of Vietnam War veterans. Tickets are $25 and include both a catered meal from The Crowded Kitchen Catering Co. and the opportunity to hear retired USMC Captain Bill Collier share stories from his time in the service. Tickets can be purchased at the Veterans Memorial Museum’s front desk.
