Toledo Library Annual Valentine’s Book and Bake Sale

Feb. 14 at the Toledo Library, 241 Cowlitz St., Toledo

Sweets baked by volunteers and books donated by friends of the library will be for sale. Valentine’s Day cards will also be available for $1 and $2 each. There will also be Valentine’s Day gifts available for purchase. 

 

Valentine’s Day Dinner and Open Mic

Feb. 14 at The Juice Box, 216 S. Tower Ave., Centralia; 5 p.m.

The Ways of the Heart and The Language of Flowers

Feb. 14 at the Nature Farm Farmacy, 176 NE School St., Chehalis; 5:30 p.m.

This class will be taught by herbalist Lauren Olean. There will be a discussion of plants and healing as well as tea to drink and samples of herbs, elixirs, essences and more. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 360-996-4387. 

 

The Perfect Music For Your Valentine

Feb. 14 at the Olympic Club, 112 N. Tower Ave., Centralia; 7 p.m.

Military/Veteran Resource Fair

Feb. 15 at the Veterans Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Resources for veterans and military members that will be showcased include counseling, education, housing, employment, a veteran service officer and financial training.

 

Centerville Cafe Ribbon Cutting

Feb. 15 at the Centerville Cafe, 111 N. Tower Ave., Centralia; 12 to 1 p.m.

The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce is hosting a ribbon cutting at the Centerville Cafe.

 

Business After Hours

Feb. 16 at Mint City Coffee Roasters, 539 N. Market Blvd., Chehalis; 5 to 7 p.m.

The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Business After Hours event at Mint City Coffee Roasters. The event is a Professional Service Showcase and the Chamber is still accepting vendors to participate. Mint City Coffee Roasters is also offering a demonstration of their roasting and visitors can tour their coffee shop and upstairs venue rentals. The cost to become a vendor is $10. Slow Cooker Meals Made Easy

Feb. 16 at the Nature Farm Farmacy, 176 NE School St., Chehalis; 5:30 p.m.

This class will be taught by Farley Walker, a local farmer, chef and Nature Farm Farmacy office manager. This class will explore cooking multiple meals out of one slow cook. The recipes taught cater to both Instant Pots and Crock Pots. There will be samples of recipes in-class as well as demonstrations and recipes to take home. Vet-To-Vet Cafe



Feb. 17 at the Olequa Senior Center, 119 SW Kerront St., Winlock; 9:30 a.m.

The Veteran to Veteran Cafe is a casual social hour open to veterans of any age or branch. This is a time for attending veterans to enjoy the company of their fellow service members. 

 

The Diary of Anne Frank

Feb. 17, 18 and 19 at the Evergreen Playhouse, 226 W. Center St., Centralia

This adaptation of the Diary of Anne Frank will play on Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. 

 

Lewis County Stream Team Tree Planting Party and Nature Walk

Feb. 18, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Southwest Washington Fair Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

Feb. 18 at the Southwest Washington Fair Community Events Building 1909 S. Gold St., Centralia; 2 p.m.

The Southwest Washington Fair’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner is for all 2022 Fair Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents and volunteers. The dinner will be a friendly and informal get-together with food, friends and Fair talk. There will be awards and a big thank you to everyone who helped make the Fair happen. Complete Hearing and Balance Ribbon Cutting

Feb. 23 at Complete Hearing and Balance, 1817 S. Market Blvd., Chehalis; 12:30 p.m.

Owner Alison Vega will be on hand along with other providers and staff. There will be refreshments and visitors can tour the facility. Visitors can bring their hearing aids for a free cleaning during the event. The public is invited to this event. 

 

Free Movie Night

Feb. 24 at Christian Fellowship of Winlock, 630 Cemetery Road, Winlock; 6 p.m.

Free popcorn, red vines, hot cocoa and coffee will be offered at this free showing of “Flywheel.” The movie is about the unexpected pitfalls experienced by a used car dealer as he decides to go honest. For more information, call 360-785-4280.  

 

Potato Bake at Adna Grange

Feb. 25 at the Adna Grange, 123 Dieckman Road, Adna; 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The event costs $7 to attend and includes toppings, a garden salad, a beverage and dessert. 

 

 

Grandparents/Grandchildren Ball

Feb. 25 at the Olequa Senior Center, 119 SW Kerront St., Winlock; 2 to 4 p.m.

This is the first annual Grandparents/Grandchildren Ball. All ages are welcome and there will be light refreshments, raffle prizes, games, dancing and pictures. Seniors Paint Class
