A crew from Lumen will soon begin work to repair a damaged pole in Pe Ell, a company spokesperson told The Chronicle late Wednesday morning.
“Our local team will begin work in the next few days to resolve this issue,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
On Wednesday, The Chronicle received several emails from residents expressing concern over the pole. Located at the corner of Main Street and westbound state Route 6, a photo appears to show the poll splintered approximately halfway up.
“I am a concerned citizen and pray that this pole does not come down and harm anyone, especially with the higher winds we are experiencing,” one resident wrote.
According to the email, Pe Ell residents have tried for approximately a week to contact the company to alert them of the issue.
