County seeks volunteer for the Chehalis River Basin Flood Control Zone Advisory Board

The Chehalis River Basin Flood Control Zone District is seeking a volunteer to serve on the Chehalis River Basin Flood Control Zone Advisory Board, providing input and guidance on the Advisory Committee for a two-year term expiring Sept. 30, 2026.

The Chehalis River Basin Flood Control Zone District Advisory Committee provides non-binding advice and recommendations to the flood district’s board of supervisors — composed of the Lewis County commissioners — regarding solutions for reducing flood damage and to restore habitat for aquatic species within the basin.

The group meets in the Lewis County commissioners’ hearing room on the second Thursday of every month at 8 a.m.

Residents interested in serving on the board are asked to submit an application and a letter of interest to the following:



• By mail at 351 NW North St., Chehalis, WA, 98532

• Via email at committees@lewiscountywa.gov (include “CRBFCZD” in subject line)

• In person at the commissioners’ office on the second floor of the historic courthouse at 351 NW North St.

Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, to be considered.
