Cruisers Just a Bit Too Much for T-Wolves

The Morton-White Pass girls basketball team stayed close the whole way through, but couldn’t quite pull out a win over 1A Eatonville, falling 57-47 in Morton on Monday.

The Cruisers — who beat the T-Wolves by 17 points just over a week ago — led by a point at the end of the first quarter, and by four at halftime. That would be the deficit going to the final period as well, which the guests won by six.

McKenzee Mays led MWP with 17 points, and Natalia Armstrong added 11. Malia Armstrong grabbed nine rebounds.

MWP (3-5, 2-2 C2BL) is scheduled to host Castle Rock on Thursday in Randle, so long as the Rockets — whom the T-Wolves beat by 27 points to open the season — can find their way through the snow.
