The Winlock football team won its third straight game to get back to .500 on Friday, topping Muckleshoot Tribal 48-14 in Auburn.

James Cusson had another big day on the ground, running for 190 yards and three touchdowns.

Landen Cline only attempted four passes, but he completed all four of them and three went for touchdowns, including a 58-yard strike to Carter Svenson to make it a 48-8 game in the third quarter.

The Winlock defense even got in on the scoring action, stuffing the Kings in their own end zone late in the first quarter for a safety.

As a team, the Cardinals ran for 256 yards, while holding the Kings to just 174 total yards of offense.

After starting the season 0-3, Winlock has now won three games in a row.

The Cardinals will pit their winning streak against Mossyrock’s next Friday, as they’ll head east to take on the Vikings.
