Dawn’s Delectables Dessert & Sandwich Shoppe has announced plans to relocate in downtown Centralia.

The business will move into the former Anderson’s True Value building at the opposite end of the 200 block of North Tower Avenue, which is currently undergoing renovations.

Dawn’s Delectables aims to open doors to the public in early September 2026.

“The move marks an exciting new chapter for Dawn’s Delectables, having operated in the current space for 12 years, and having built a strong following for its baked goods, coffee, desserts, lunches and welcoming atmosphere,” the business announced in a news release.

The new space will provide a fresh look and a more workable footprint, allowing the business to expand with additional room for production, customer seating and an enhanced overall experience, the news release stated.

“We’re excited to continue growing in downtown Centralia,” said Dawn Merchant, owner and proprietor. “This new space allows us to better serve our customers while staying rooted in the community that has supported us from the beginning.”

The relocation, although just a few doors down, keeps Dawn’s Delectables within the heart of Centralia’s historic downtown corridor, contributing to ongoing revitalization efforts along North Tower Avenue, the news release stated.

Anderson’s True Value owner Greg Anderson and his wife, Sheila, announced plans to close the business for their retirement earlier this year, and the space has now been vacated.

Dawn’s Delectables Dessert & Sandwich Shoppe reopened in 2025 after closing at the end of March in 2024. The space was then occupied by JJ’s ToGo, which no longer has a brick-and-mortar location.
