Rural Baseball Inc., finished .500 across a four-game weekend, splitting its Saturday doubleheader against Grays Harbor Longshore with a 5-3 loss and a 7-5 win, before beating Black Hills 5-1 and losing to the Wolves 5-3 on Sunday.

Toledo’s Gavin Frewing starred the show Saturday, finishing 5 for 5 at the plate with a double and two runs scored, while also striking out seven in a complete-game win in the evening sequel. PWV’s Blake Howard added a 2-for-4 game in RBI’s Game 2 win.

Oakville grad Tre Groninger tossed a complete game in the day’s first matchup, striking out seven and allowing two earned runs in a tough-luck loss.

Frewing  and MWP’s Keeton Thompson led the way with a pair of hits apiece in the Dirtbags’ win over the Wolves, while Groninger and W.F. West’s Dom Rowland added knocks.

RBI is set to come to Lewis County on Wednesday for a midweek date with Centralia/Rochester at Wheeler Field.
