The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information on the disappearance of a Lummi Nation woman who was last seen over a year ago in Bellingham.
Besalynn Mary James, 63, was last seen on Jan. 20, 2025, in her Bellingham home and was reported missing five days later. Her belongings were left behind in her home, as were her dogs, whom she was known to never leave the house without.
The FBI announced it’s offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in James’ disappearance.
James, who goes by Bessy, is 5 feet, 2 inches and 180 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of the word “Bes” on one of her arms. It is believed she was wearing a black jacket at the time of her disappearance.
