A list of Lewis County fees associated with permitting and other applications will see a small increase across the board come January.
The Lewis County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to approve a new fee schedule during its weekly business meeting Tuesday.
The fees apply to activities under the county’s community development, public works and public health and social services departments. Increases are relatively modest, ranging from increases of a few dollars to more than $100.

The draft of the changes made to the county fee schedule is also available through the Lewis County commissioners’ business agenda for the Tuesday meeting.
The document shows the changes made to the fees in red as well as the amount of the changes, with the current amounts crossed out and the new amounts listed in red.
The increases affect fees for many different actions ranging from subdivision and plat applications to inspections and many other specific county actions.
According to the resolution passed by the commissioners, the increases are recommended by the relevant departments to reflect increased costs of operation.
“The board has decided to amend the existing schedule of fees, incorporating departmental recommendations regarding administrative costs associated with providing services and permits,” reads the resolution.
