First Christian Church of Chehalis to Host Gospel Favorite at July Concert

The First Christian Church of Chehalis will host a free gospel music concert at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, at 111 NW Prindle St., Chehalis.

Rochester man Kevin Mills and the Mark Dubbeld Family will be performing.

The church considers the concert to be “uplifting, family entertainment,” wrote church representative Teri Pope in an email to The Chronicle.

“The Dubbelds are only doing two concerts on the West Coast this trip,” Pope wrote. “It's pretty amazing that we are going to get them to come to Chehalis.”

She expressed excitement that Mills is local and detailed some of his past musical partnerships.

“(Mills) used to sing southern gospel music full time with a group called ‘Keepers Of The Faith.’  We're lucky to get him to sing, too,” Pope wrote.
