A 2025 state champion and all of the medalists from Mat Classic XXXVI will take the mat with the chance at a prestigious stop sign.
Black Hills’ Sloane Kruger (100-pounds), Napavine’s Peyton Hernandez (132), Centralia’s twin sisters Eva (115) and Ramona Reinitz (120) plus W.F. West’s Lucy Hornby will represent Southwest Washington at the Fargo National Tournament that starts on Saturday on the campus of North Dakota State University.
Kruger, the Class 2A state title winner with a perfect 48-0 record, will attempt to win her first Fargo title.
She is the No. 29 ranked wrestler in the country at 100 pounds and will be in the junior freestyle bracket.
The Reinitz sisters are back in the 16U freestyle bracket, and Hornby will also claim a spot in that bracket. Hernandez will wrestle both junior freestyle and junior Greco-Roman to wrap up the tournament.
