A former Lewis County deputy coroner and corrections officer at Maple Lane School in Grand Mound will serve seven and a half years to life in prison and 12 months of community custody for sexually assaulting a child between 2013 and 2015, according to court records.
Brady Murray Figueredo, 38, of Salkum, pleaded guilty Dec. 3, 2025, to one count each of indecent liberties by forcible compulsion, a class A felony punishable by up to life in prison; and third-degree assault of a child, considered a class C felony.
The charges were downgraded from the “most serious offense” and class B felony he was initially charged with in March 2025, according to previous Chronicle reporting.
During Figueredo’s Jan. 7 sentencing hearing, Lewis County Superior Court Judge Joely Yeager entered a lifetime sexual assault no-contact order on behalf of the victim.
Figueredo was initially arrested March 12, 2025. He posted $50,000 bail and was released from the Lewis County Jail on March 13, according to court records.
He was booked back into the Lewis County Jail after he entered guilty pleas on Dec. 3.
A pre-sentence investigation from the state Department of Corrections lists a prior conviction for possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Figueredo was sentenced for the crime on Aug. 5, 2019.
“It's very concerning that Figueredo was just on supervision for a sex offense as recently as 2020,” the investigation report states. “It is also concerning that he attended sex offender treatment at Northwest Resources, but there is no record showing completion of the program.”
In 2009, The Chronicle reported that Figueredo was a deputy coroner at the Lewis County Coroner’s Office as well as a corrections officer at Maple Lane School.
According to his LinkedIn page, Figueredo worked for the coroner’s office between 2007 and 2010. He lists employment as a corrections officer with the Washington state Department of Social and Health Services from April 2009 to October 2013.
