The Friends of the Centralia Timberland Library invites community members to attend their upcoming meeting on Friday, Aug. 23, at 11:30 a.m. in the library’s meeting room.
The Friends is a small, volunteer-run nonprofit that supports programs, events and resources at the Centralia Timberland Library. Members help raise funds, advocate for the library and promote literacy in the community. Most recently, the group worked with Timberland Regional Library staff to purchase and implement a Little Free Seed Library, which launched on July 25, inside the building.
“Our library is the heart of Centralia — a place where stories come alive, neighbors connect and learning never stops,” Hallie Ralls, Friends of the Centralia Timberland Library, said in a news release. “By joining the Friends, you’re not just volunteering; you’re helping keep that heart beating strong for generations to come. We’d love to have you with us.”
Attendees will learn more about the group’s mission, upcoming projects and how to get involved. A small treat will be provided.
The Centralia Timberland Library is located at 110 Silver St.
