Gifford Pinchot National Forest announces open fire positions

The Gifford Pinchot National Forest has announced that the U.S. Forest Service is hiring dedicated individuals to support fire operations, according to a recent news release.

The positions sought are vital to wildfire preparedness and disaster response across federal and state agencies, the release stated.

Jobs include fire engine operators, fire prevention specialists, forestry aids, handcrew members, senior firefighters, and prescribed fire and fuels specialists. Applications are open now through Sept. 22 at USAJobs.gov.

Gifford Pinchot National Forest fire positions are available with duty stations at Randle, Amboy and Trout Lake.
