Three-year-old Brynn Amanda Mead has advanced into the Top 10 of Hasbro’s Toddler of the Year Competition, a competition that pairs childhood joy with an important mission: raising money for Toys for Tots, a news release from Brynn’s family stated.

This charity, run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, works to make sure children in need wake up on Christmas morning with gifts under the tree. Every vote in the competition directly supports Toys for Tots: one free daily vote is available to everyone, while each additional $1 vote goes toward the charity.

To date, Brynn has already helped raise more than $600 for the cause.

Out of hundreds of toddlers nationwide, Brynn currently sits in second place overall and has a day left to secure her spot in the top five and continue on in her efforts to raise money before voting closes on Aug. 21.

Brynn herself shines with a spirit well beyond her years, according to the news release. Whether she’s singing, baking alongside her mom, the co-owner of Mead Family Market, dressing up in her favorite costumes, or sharing special moments with her Papa Rick Mead, the current mayor of Morton.

“Brynn radiates kindness, joy and imagination,” Katie Mead said. “Her bright smile and sweet, sassy sparkle light up every room she enters.”

Katie Mead added that the family is “so grateful for the way our community has rallied behind Brynn and this cause. It’s inspiring to see how much good can happen when people come together not just for Brynn, but for the children who will feel the love of Toys for Tots this Christmas.”
