W.F. West’s Emmett Goodman put together an incredible performance on the mound on Wednesday, tossing a complete game to lift the Bearcats to a 2-1 road victory over Aberdeen.
The Bobcats scored their lone run, an unearned run, in the bottom of the first after a baserunner reached via error, but from that point on, Goodman was lights out on the hill.
He allowed just one more hit over the final six frames, and he finished the night with four walks and five strikeouts.
Wyatt Hoffman tied the game in the third with an RBI single, and in the sixth, Gage Wiens hit a sacrifice fly to put W.F. West ahead.
Wiens and Reece Marquez both collected two hits, while Hoffman, Hiroto Smaciarz, and Beckman Dvorak also tallied a hit each.
W.F. West (13-1, 8-0 2A EvCo) has now won 13 games in a row, and it will look to make it 14 in a row at home against Centralia on Friday.
