Hartley Fans 14 as Warriors Shut Out Wolves

Rochester’s Braden Hartley fanned 14 batters and tossed a one-hit, complete-game shutout to help the Warriors to a 7-0 road victory over Black Hills on Tuesday.

Hartley was fantastic on the mound, walking just four batters and allowing a lone hit on 101 pitches.

Meanwhile, the Warriors’ offense was humming, totalling 11 hits on the day, led by Tate Quarnstrom going 4 for 5 with two runs scored. Hartley added two hits of his own and drove in three runs, while Brady Baird was 2 for 4 with an RBI and Tony Groninger had a hit, an RBI and scored twice.

Black Hill’s lone hit came from Parker Termini (1 for 3), while Joseph Floyd walked twice. Alec Lynch tossed four innings for the Wolves, striking out four and allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk.

Black Hills (4-2) and Rochester (3-3) battle again at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Rochester.
