The inaugural season for the Centralia High School boys swimming team has been filled with plenty of firsts, and Monday marked the conclusion of the regular season. The Tigers upended 2A Hudson’s Bay and 1A Fort Vancouver in a triangular, scoring 78 points at Thorbeckes.

Eli Baldwin, Evan Thummel, Jake Johnson, Kamryn Hernandez and Will Guthrie were honored for senior night. Head coach Chie Bringman relished in her swimmers' hard work this winter.

“There are many new swimmers who have never swam competitively or had any swimming experiences,” Bringman said.

Centralia will compete in the two-day district meet next weekend at Mark Morris High School. Tigers sophomore Jimbo Bringman, once he finishes his day in Longview, will swim at the state meet held in Federal Way in mid-February. He has a state time in the 100-yard butterfly.
