Four Napavine players scored in double figures and the Tigers vaulted to a 73-21 road win over Winlock in what was a league opener for both teams on Saturday.

Tiger senior post Keith Olson, in his first game of the season, led with a game-high 16 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore James Grose added 15 points, senior Gavin Parker had 12 and senior Jaden Tabor finished with 10.

The Tigers shot a blazing 52% from two (32 of 61), and won the rebounding battle 33-21.

Winlock was held to single-digit scoring in the first three quarters and trailed 23-2 at the end of one quarter and 47-4 at the half.

The Cardinals shot just 7 of 33 (21%) from two but did knock down four of 10 3-pointers. They were led by junior Payton Sickles’ team-high five points, while freshman Lincoln Ruiz added a team-high four rebounds to go with three points.

Winlock (0-8, 0-1 C2BL) loses its eighth straight to start the season and will look for its first win when it hosts Stevenson on Tuesday.

Napavine (2-1, 1-0 C2BL) hosts Mabton on Tuesday in a non-league match.
