The Morton volleyball team rolled to a dominant home victory over Winlock on Tuesday, sweeping the Cardinals 25-6, 25-1, 25-4.
“The girls came out focused and ready to play,” Morton coach Jamie Brazil said. “They did a great job staying disciplined, communicating, and keeping their energy up. It’s easy to lose focus when things are going your way, but they stayed engaged and continued to play our game. I’m proud of how they stayed locked in and took care of business from start to finish.”
Crystal Dygert finished with 16 assists and eight aces, Ryelin Wiedenmann finished with 10 kills, Brooklyn Montoure added eight, and Chevy Fuller finished with five.
Dygert, Montoure, and Layna Sams all finished perfect from the service line.
Both teams will be at home on Thursday, while Winlock (1-3) faces White Pass and Morton (2-2) will welcome Pe Ell.
