I-5 Toyota Mountain Dew ran through its first four games in Selah before ultimately falling in its final matchup, taking second at the Brent Edwards Tournament over the past weekend.

The Dewers won by run-rule in all three of their pool play games, outscoring their opponents 34-5, before throttling the Burlington Sox 19-3 in the semifinals.

That put I-5 Toyota into the championship game Sunday, where it fell to the River City A’s 14-6 in six innings.

Centralia’s Brady Sprague had the best outing on the mound of the weekend, tossing a five-inning, one-hit shutout with eight strikeouts in an 8-0 win over Wilder. Ashton Demarest (Napavine), Conner Holmes (Napavine), and Connor Coleman (W.F. West) also earned wins, while Miles Martin (W.F. West) took the loss in the title tilt.

Rochester’s Tate Quarnstrom led the Dewers with six total hits across the weekend, in four appearances. Demarest and W.F. West’s Alex Stafford both added five, and the Napavine duo of Holmes and Cal Bullock came away with four apiece.
