The Riverside Fire Authority responded after a tree with chew marks from a beaver fell at around 3 p.m. on Friday, taking out power lines and causing a fire along Proffitt Road in Centralia.
Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control.
The beaver remained at large Friday.
