Centralia graduate Chihiro Bringman sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the Seattle Mariners game against the Detroit Tigers at T-Mobile Park on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Bringman started singing when her Poseidon Aquatic Club coaches, Audra Evans and Kelli Denny, asked to sing the National Anthem before a swim meet when she was 10-years-old.

Bringman, who graduated this year as a top 10 student at Centralia High School, plans to attend Stonehill College in Boston, Massachusetts, on a swimming scholarship to continue her athletic and collegiate studies. Her performance on Tuesday followed a previous performance of the national anthem at a Tacoma Rainiers game.
