In Focus: Centralia’s youngest learners make it official at Kindergarten Signing Day

The Centralia School District held its first Kindergarten Signing Day on Friday at Tiger Stadium, inviting its youngest learners to celebrate the first big step in their education.

“What an incredible day at our very first Kindergarten Signing Day!” the district posted on social media after the event.

The district thanked those who helped make the event a fun and memorable experience for incoming kindergarteners and their families.

“We are so grateful for our amazing CHS Leadership students, the generous support from GESA Credit Union, Centralia Youth Sports, our outstanding Transportation Department, our fantastic MC Tim Ahern, our dedicated CSD School Board members, all of our elementary principals, and our hardworking Maintenance team for bringing this event to life,” the district wrote. “And of course — thank you to all of the families who came out to celebrate this exciting milestone with us. Your energy and enthusiasm made the day truly special! It was a huge success, so much fun, and we can’t wait to make this a new Centralia tradition for years to come!”
