In Focus: Excavator Strikes Gas Line Near Centralia Station Friday

Public safety was not endangered by damage to a gas line caused by an excavator working along Alder Street Friday morning, personnel with Riverside Fire Authority said.

The excavator reportedly struck the gas line while working near the future Centralia Station site.



Riverside said the initial call came in at 9:20 a.m. Puget Sound Energy arrived at 10 a.m. and the leak was contained by 10:09 a.m., at which point Riverside cleared the scene.
