In Focus: Kids with disabilities show sheep at Southwest Washington Fair

Posted

Reliable Enterprises' Lewis County Parent to Parent program partnered with the local Friends and Fleece 4-H group to provide the experience of showing animals to children with disabilities on Thursday morning at the Southwest Washington Fair.

This is the second year for the program known as Barn Buddies. Last year, the effort had eight participants. This year, there were 13.

The event gives children with disabilities an inclusive opportunity to participate in showing an animal at the fair.

The fair began on Tuesday and runs through Sunday at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds in Centralia.
