The Board of Lewis County Commissioners honored the W.F. West High School cheer squad Tuesday, March 11, at the Lewis County Courthouse in Chehalis. The team took home the 2A non-tumbling medium state title on Jan. 24 and earned third place in the 2A/3A game day large category.

The Board of Lewis County Commissioners honored the W.F. West High School girls wrestling team for a list of accomplishments during a public meeting at the Lewis County Courthouse on Tuesday, March 11. The team earned fourth place at state, was named academic state champions and boasted five medalists, a first place title, a third place finish, two fourth place finishes and a sixth place finish at the Mat Classic in Tacoma last month.

Lehman became the state champion in the 2A 130-pound weight class and the first W.F. West girl to win a state title.
