40 Days for Life project board member and general counsel Matt Britton spoke about the effort in a ‘Pray to End Abortion’ event across from Planned Parenthood in Centralia on Monday, March 24.
The gathering at the corner of Main and Yew streets included attendees carrying signs with anti-abortion messages. It was a stop of the 40 Days for Life WA Tour.
“People in Centralia have made extraordinary sacrifices to expose the abortion industry and to protect pre-born children and their mothers from abortion,” Britton said in a news release prior to the event. “I’m honored to be able to join these folks in prayer. Their efforts illustrate why we’re seeing historic changes — more mothers choosing life, more abortion workers experiencing conversions and leaving the abortion industry, and more abortion centers closing their doors for good.”
Centralia is one of 12,358 community campaigns in 64 nations around the world conducting simultaneous 40 Days for Life campaigns from March 5 through April 13. Since 40 Days for Life began, over 25,000 mothers have chosen life for their children, over 260 abortion workers have quit their jobs and over 150 abortion centers where 40 Days for Life vigils have been held have gone out of business, according to the news release.
