In Focus: United Learning Center gets prehistoric addition in Centralia

Posted

Two Tyrannosaurus statues recently installed at the United Learning Center in Centralia are pictured here on Thursday, Dec. 18. It would be irresponsible and incorrect to say they “spared no expense,” but construction crews at the site of the United Learning Center in downtown Centralia have certainly made a jurassic addition to the structure.  “Santa isn’t the only one making an appearance in Lewis County this holiday season!” the Discover! Children’s Museum wrote. “Somebody else landed on the roof at the ULC!  But they are here to stay!” This project is a collaboration between United Way of Lewis County, Boys & Girls Club of Lewis County, City of Centralia, Bezos Academy, Discover! Children’s Museum and Cascade Community Healthcare. When complete, it will be a hub for early learning, after-school care, creative play, mental health resources and family support, supporters have said.  It’s located at the corner of North Pearl Street and Maple Street in downtown Centralia.
