In Loving Memory of Alexie Naumann: 1996-2023

Posted

On Oct. 17, 1996, Alexie Shae Naumann took her first breath. She opened her eyes and saw her grandmother. I was present when she took her first breath of life with joyous tears. Her grandfather and I were with her at her final breath. The span of time in between was a life of the most beautiful human God’s grace will ever allow us to witness. The limits of her physical self were diminished by her gracious soul, her joyous personality of life and the inner light of her spirit. Lexie loved school. She attended Centralia schools starting as a Tiger Cub continuing to graduation with honor cords from Centralia High School and two years of the Visions program at Centralia College.

Lexie enjoyed playing golf with her grandpa. They would load the clubs into the truck and head off to Riverside Golf Course. She loved cheering on her golf buddies by clapping and telling Jeff and Ken “good job” and “great shot.” She loved telling her Papa, “Hand me my putter,” while walking up to the green. She truly loved seeing all her golf buddies then enjoyed talking about the game when they returned home. She loved taking trips in our fifth-wheel where she had her own room surrounded by all of her treasures. She loved digging into boxes of vintage purses, evening gloves and hats, with the gloves being the only items she would wear, along with her various tutus, while dancing to her music.

Lexie lived life with a festive attitude regarding anything that she was doing. It was impossible not to experience her joy when being in her presence.

Preceding her in death were her great-grandmother Edna Catherine Lampert, great-grandfathers Ruben Martinez and Herman Carl Naumann, great uncles Steven Ruben Martinez and Jerry Lee Naumann, and great aunts Beth Suzanne Takacs and Laura Leah Martinez.

On Sunday, April 16, 2023, our beautiful granddaughter, Alexie Shae Naumann, was gathered up by God’s angels.

Lexie is survived by her great grandmother Sheriden Martinez, of Chehalis, Washington; her mother Shavon Naumann, of St. Peters, Missouri; her brother Isaac Reavis, of Coos Bay, Oregon; her great aunts Dee Anderson (Russ), of Congress, Arizona, and Terry Naumann, of Chehalis, Washington; aunties Jenaya Sharon, of Centralia, Washington, Angela Hughes (Jarrod) and Nicole Naumann, both of Olympia, Washington, Amber Marie Naumann-Finney, of Chehalis, Washington, Jacqueline Naumann of Yulee, Florida, and Michelle Naumann, of Yelm, Washington; uncles Jeremy Naumann and Ronnie Decker, both of Chehalis, Washington; numerous cousins; and Lexie’s grandparents Herman and Lisa Naumann, of Napavine, Washington.
