In Loving Memory of Dewey D. Yoke: 1932-2021

Dewey D. Yoke was born Jan. 6, 1932, in Newton, Kansas, to Dewey D. Yoke and Gladys Abbott. 

In 1956, Dewey married Janice in Osakis, Minnesota, and had three of their four children. Later, they moved to Washington, where Brenda was born. 

He loved fishing, all sports and especially playing and umpiring youth and adult baseball and softball. Dewey played baseball and softball for local teams until he became an umpire and traveled most of the U.S. including Hawaii. 

He is survived by his brothers, Kenneth and David; sister, Chery; wife, Janice, of Centralia, Washington; four children, Ardie and Ley of Tucson, Arizona, Cindy of Phoenix, Arizona, Steven, of Centralia, Washington, and Brenda of Lacey, Washington; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at the Veterans Memorial Museum. Burial at Tahoma National Cemetery at a later date.
