Dolores May Larson passed away peacefully at her home on Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 2024, at the age of 96.
Dolores was born and raised in California. During World War II, her father moved the family to Napavine, Washington. After graduating from high school, she married Julius “Swede” Larson and moved to Centralia to the home she lived in for over 70 years. While raising two children, she worked full time primarily in bookkeeping capacities, eventually retiring from Centralia City Hall.
She could be cantankerous and didn’t hesitate to voice her opinions. At the same time, she had a fun sense of humor and was generous and loving to those she cared about, especially her two children who she would do anything for. She loved to work in her garden and enjoyed church, playing solitaire, poetry and a good margarita.
Dolores is predeceased by her husband, Julius “Swede” Larson, and survived by her son, Clinton Larson, of Centralia; daughter, Julia Larson Graham, of Puyallup; her brother, Robert Crago (and family), of Newcastle, California; and nieces, Rachelle Oster, of Snohomish, and Debra Oster Clinton, of Seattle.
A private memorial service is planned.
