Posted

Our awesome husband, dad, son, brother, and Papa, James Dwain ‘Jim’ Williams, of Olympia, Washington, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at Providence St. Peter Hospital following a brave battle with COVID. He was 56.

Jim was born May 1, 1965, in Portland, Ore., to John Williams and Linda Deel (Hill). His family moved to Toledo, Wash., when he was young, and he graduated from Toledo High in 1983. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of corporal and serving our nation for 3 ½ years. He was a mechanic and housing inspector by trade, and also worked in construction doing remodeling and repair.

He married his soulmate, Virginia Ann “Ginny” Tullo in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2016.

How can we sum up Jim’s life with so little room to write? To start, he loved spending time with his family. If there was something going on that involved his peeps, he was there! Jim was funny, giving, loyal, honest, protective, respectful, dedicated, and a hard worker.

He was a member of Lewis County ABATE, the Olympia Lowlife Riders, and Thurston County Amigos motorcycle club. He was passionate about raising money for charities and putting good out into the world. He enjoyed riding his Harley and hitting up car shows.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Williams and Linda Deel; grandsons, Brayden Pluard and Carter Bensching; aunt, Carol Hill; uncle Jack Hill; nephew, Christian Durham.

He will forever be remembered by his sweetheart, Ginny; daughters, Shauna Pluard of Everson, Wash., Barbara Robinson of Toledo, Cearra Carpenter of Olympia, Mandy Bensching of Longview, Wash., Nicole Cole of Plymouth, NH., and Madison Tullo of Olympia; son, John Williams of Libby, Mont.; 18 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Lori Durham of Bremerton, Wash., Shawna Taylor- Navarrete of Napavine, Wash., Treicia Williams of Kodak, Tenn.; and many other friends and family members.
