In loving memory of James Hadaller: 1957-2026

Posted

James (Jim) Richard Hadaller, beloved brother, stepfather and friend, passed away at his home in Rochester, Washington.

He was born Feb. 23, 1957 to Richard and Emilie Hadaller. Jim grew up in Ethel and graduated from Onalaska High School in 1976.

He worked at the Nor Wester restaurant then at Moduline Homes before going back to school to earn his AA in Accounting from South Sound Puget Sound Community College. Jim started working for the State of Washington in 1996 and worked for the state in accounting for 25 years. There he received many different certificates of achievements.

Jim enjoyed watching the SeaHawk games, watching movies and reading. He liked to travel with family to Switzerland and many other places in his youth. Jim continued to travel to other countries in his adult life. He loved music and cooking, especially his famous potato salad.

He made all sorts of friends along the way.

Friends and family who really knew him would tell you that he could be stubborn and determined to do things his way. His love for those he cared for was deep, giving them grief and then a wink and grin and all the support he could.  Jim always had your back if you were in his circle.

He faced many health issues after retirement, but always had an opinion or wink and grin to share. He was a great listener and an amazing man. He will be greatly missed.

Jim is survived by his siblings John, Tom and Julie; his favorite nephew, Chris (Liz); niece, Shelly, who kept in contact, and other nieces and nephews; step-daughters, Shawna (Alex) and Lindsy (Mark); and grandchildren, Saleena, Freddie, Bryse, Mark Jr. and Anthony.

Arrangements are under eCare Mortuary. A service of committal will be held at 3:00 p.m., July 21, 2026 at Claquato Cemetery.
