June Elaine Wray, beloved mother to four daughters, passed away in Centralia, Washington, on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, wrapped in love yet leaving a void her family cannot fill.
June was born in Leslie, West Virginia, in 1931 to parents James and Caledonia Stiltner. She was the eighth of nine children and grew up in the Virginia and Kentucky area. After World War II, the family moved to Washington. After her first husband died in a logging accident, she married Glen Wray, and together they raised four girls: Judy Seroshek, Glenice Espeseth, Teresa Norman and Tami Catalano.
For 19 years, June was a school bus driver for Centralia Schools. After the passing of her husband, Glen, she became a nanny to a family in the Centralia area.
June was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren: Steve Seroshek, John Michael Norman, Brian Norman, Joe Norman, Anne Norman Almonte, Whitney Espeseth and Jane Espeseth Roncevich; and great-grandchildren Kennedy Seroshek Lovejoy, Jackson Seroshek, Reagan Seroshek, Olivia Roncevich, Lauren Roncevich, Emma Roncevich, Tobias Espeseth and Leo Almonte. These children were her pride and joy. She loved her family and extended family deeply.
She took special joy in preparing homemade meals that could feed an army. Her home was decorated for each holiday, making it feel warm, cozy and welcoming for all who entered—and you would never leave hungry. There was nothing selfish about June; she was a giving person to all who entered her presence.
June was preceded in death by her sisters Merline, Nora and Artia, and her brothers Orville, Clarence, Arnel and Ray. She is survived by her brother, James.
