Kathy L. Rudig passed away of Alzheimer’s disease on April 9, 2023, in Lacey, Washington. She was born Jan. 19, 1952, to Clarence and Mariam Ellingson in Edmonds, Washington.
Kathy graduated from Meadowdale Senior High School in 1970 and the Seattle Keypunch Academy in 1971.
She worked in data processing at Rainier Bank from August 1973 to August 1975, was a keypunch operator at Swedish Medical Center from October 1976 to February 1978, at Dari Mart in Junction City, Oregon from January 1979 to August 1985, and as a financial counselor at Virginia Mason from 1981 to 2013.
She married Clifton M. Rudig on May 19, 1996, in Centralia, Washington. She loved cooking, gardening, her dogs, and going to Mount Baker and to dinner with friends and family.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Clifton Rudig of Winlock, Washington; sisters, Barbara Van Cislo of Shoreline, Washington, and Karen Harrison of Bellevue, Washington; and niece, Lauren Van Cislo. She was preceded by her parents, and grandparents, Charles and Martha Romer, of St. Paul, Minnesota.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at the Olequa Senior Center, 119 SW Kerron St., Winlock, Washington, 98596.
