Maxine married Hugh Herron in Lebanon, Oregon, in 1951. They raised three children in logging communities throughout the Pacific Northwest, settling in Morton, Washington, in 1967.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling with friends and family, and most of all, quilting. She made beautiful quilts for all of her family, making sure her “points” matched. She also loved her Linus Project on Tuesdays and soup nights at Lynda Nanney’s on Thursdays.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Herron and their daughter, Shelley Coleman, in December. She is survived by Mike (Virginia) Herron, Christie Greiter (Dave Chambers) and David Coleman; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
