In Loving Memory of Roscoe Turner: 1939-2023

Roscoe Erwin Turner was born on Oct. 3, 1939, to Harlan and Betty (Conklin) in Orting, Washington, and passed away on April 8, 2023 in Packwood, Washington. 

He graduated from Enumclaw High School and spent three years in the U.S. Army. After moving to Packwood, Washington, he met Jayne Ellen Kinnunen and they were married on Dec. 31, 1977. He worked as a mechanic at PLS in Packwood and then went to work at Mount Rainier National Park. His job was operating the treatment plants on the east side of the park and he retired after 20 years in 2001. 

Roscoe enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and especially golf, which was almost a daily activity. He was skilled in many areas which shows in the home he and his wife built together. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ray and Vern. 

He is survived by his wife Jayne; daughters Lynnette Rice and SueAnn (Mike) Indorf; son Steve (Iris); three grandchildren Morgan, Courtney and Shaudin; and three great-grandchildren Owen, Ethan and Reagan. 

Graveside services will be held in Packwood at 1:30 p.m. on June 24, 2023, with a celebration following.
