In Loving Memory of Tracy Palermo: 1967-2022

Tracy Danette Palermo passed away on Sept. 21, 2022, at the age of 55. She was born Feb. 28, 1967, to Joseph “Ed” and Barbara Jean (Harris) Borte. 

Tracy is survived by her mother, Barbara Jean Borte; her husband of 34 years, Jeffery Thomas Palermo; three sons, Nicholas (Laura) Palermo, Anthony (Felicia) Palermo and Alex (Makayla) Palermo; two grandchildren, Jordan and Aaron Palermo; and her sister, Theresa Borte Brown. 

Tracy was preceded in death by her father, Joseph “Ed” Borte. 

Tracy was born in Chehalis. She lived in Toledo all her life. She was the Toledo Cheese Day Queen in 1981. She and her husband were married on Sept. 17, 1988. She worked for Dennis Hadaller Logging and Trucking for many years, and then held various positions at Steck Medical Clinic. She was proud of her growing children and was lovingly involved in their activities both during and after school. She was an avid supporter of her sons’ participation in the Boy Scouts of America. She also helped out with their baseball teams as well as all of their other sports and extracurricular activities. She enjoyed cooking, camping, shopping and crafting. She was fiercely loyal to those she loved. Tracy was known for her quick wit and hilarious sense of humor. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. 

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Toledo Senior Center.
