In loving memory of Warren Johnson: 1932-2024

Warren Burr Johnson, 92, passed away on July 8, at Chehalis West Assisted Living. Born on March 4, 1932, to Burr Gabriel and Daisy Frances Johnson in Chicago, Illinois, Warren's family moved from Chicago to Adna and resided on Ceres Hill Road. 

Warren served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He later drove a school bus for the Chehalis School District for many years. Warren retired after dedicating 30 years of service to the U.S. Postal Service at the Chehalis Post Office. 

Warren was married to Christle Debow in 1952; they divorced later. He then met and married Enid Boland in September 1975. Warren is preceded in death by his wife, Enid Johnson; son Gregg Johnson; and nephew Glen Guske. 

Warren and Enid were active members for many years at Centralia Community Church of God. 

Warren leaves behind his children: Sundee (Marty) Jacobson, Sheila Johnson Teeter, Terri (Ron) Haselwood, and stepson Earl (Stephanie) Boland. His son, Gregg, passed away in 2022 and was married to Kathy (Keep) Johnson. Warren was a proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He is also survived by his beloved sister, Shirley Guske, of Rockford, Illinois, and his nephew Phil Guske. Shirley celebrated her 100th birthday in June. 

Warren had a passion for hunting, boating and camping. He also enjoyed reading Western novels, especially those by Louis L'Amour. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. 

The family would like to thank the Chehalis West staff for their dedication to their father's care. 

Warren's ashes will be privately interred at Claquato Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to Chehalis Veterans Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis, Washington, 98532. Please mention this is in memory of Warren B. Johnson.
