Lynda Patricia Schonack, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 21, 2024, at Potter's Country Adult Family Home in Chehalis, where she had been residing for the past year while courageously battling dementia. Born on Aug. 31, 1951, in Centralia, Washington, Lynda was a cherished daughter of Robert and Patricia Schonack.
Lynda spent her formative years in Centralia, graduating from Centralia High School in 1969. She then moved to Olympia to begin her career as a secretary with the Department of Social and Health services.
Lynda was married to Mike Atteridge before their eventual divorce. Throughout her life, she found joy and fulfillment in the company of her family and friends. She was particularly devoted to caring for her parents in their later years, offering them love and support.
Lynda is survived by her brothers, Gary (Mary) Schonack and Ed Schonack, of Centralia; her sister, Debbie Campbell, of Chehalis; and her nieces, Krista (Ray) Arellanes, with children Zoey and Kaydence, and Wyndee (Ben) Lomedico, with children Isabelle, Levi and Lincoln, of Centralia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and Robert Schonack; her sister-in-law, Michelle Schonack; brother-in-law, Dave Campbell; and numerous aunts and uncles.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Amanda Potter and the staff at Potter's Country Adult Family Home for the exceptional care they provided to Lynda during her stay. Their dedication and compassion have left a lasting impact on our hearts, and we will always remember the kindness they showed our beloved sister.
A graveside service for Lynda will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8. The ceremony will take place at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, 1822 Van Wormer St. in Centralia. Family and friends are invited to gather at the cemetery to pay their final respects and honor Lynda's memory.
